LED Dimming & Effects
LED lights are great for special effect lighting as they have a rich variety in colours, are small in size, durable and energy efficient. An LED light can contain a number of colours, usually red, green and blue (RGB), within a single bulb. By adjusting the intensity of each individual colour, different colour variations can be achieved.
LED lighting effects are easily produced with the use of a driver and can range from basic dimming and colour changing abilities to more sophisticated models allowing flashing, chasing and fading with numerous combinations of colours and timing. LED lights are dimmed with drivers that use PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) which control the pulse width and duty cycle of the LED light causing it to dim.
