LED Reflector Lamps

FINAL AD

LED reflector lamps are direct replacements for halogen spotlights and reflector lamps in terms of both colour temperature and brightness but with the added advantage of long life and energy savings of up to 80%.

A 4Watt LED reflector lamp can achieve the directional light output equal to a 30Watt halogen lamp.

Most LED reflector lamps do not use the multifaceted reflectors that halogen lamps use, instead they rely on the optics of the LED to control the beam width and angle or have individual reflectors for each LED.

The LED light itself has a protective casing called the primary optic. The primary optic serves two purposes: to protect the LED and to shape the light output of the diode. Halogen lights emit light in an almost spherical pattern, this means that most of the light being emitted is being directed away from the intended subject so a reflector must be used to redirect the light back onto the subject.

The individual reflector portions surrounding each LED in the lamp use sloping walls to reflect the light output and redirect it. This ensures that the light that may have been lost otherwise is redirected to a more useful direction.

LED reflector lamps have high brightness and are long lasting so are ideal for spot lighting indoor or outdoors, track lighting and recessed lighting.
